The Security Council of the United Nations, ie UNSC, has declared Abdul Rehman Makki as a global terrorist on Monday. Abdul Rehman Makki is the brother-in-law of Hafiz Saeed, the mastermind of the 26/11 attacks in India.
The United Nations (UN) in its statement said that the Security Council Committee has designated Abdul Rahman Makki as a global terrorist under the ISIL (Daesh) and Al-Qaeda Sanctions Committee. After this, the property of terrorist Makki will be confiscated, his travel will be banned.

India’s Permanent Representative and Ambassador to the United Nations Syed Akbaruddin has given his reaction after Abdul Rehman Makki was declared a global terrorist. He said that due to this there is an understanding in the world that China cannot stop India. China had created hurdles in the demand of justice of the people of India. He said that there are many more who have to be declared as global terrorists. The committee that declared Abdul Rehman as a global terrorist has held him responsible for several attacks in India. In which the attack on the Red Fort on 22 December 2000 is also included. 6 terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba entered the Red Fort and opened fire on the security forces. Three people including two army personnel were killed in this attack.
China had saved it from being declared a global terrorist in June
India and America have played an important role in declaring Makki as a global terrorist. In June last year, through a veto in the UNSC, Pakistan-based Lashkar terrorist Abdul Rehman Makki was saved from being declared a global terrorist. A joint proposal was brought against Makki in India and America. However, this time China could not do so.
